2008 Feb CH Y Program: Part I: How the Global Positioning Satellite System Works Overall

To increase the value of our Chapter Social Gatherings, Assistant Chapter Director (ACD) Bill Miller has started a 30-minute monthly program on touring and cruising topics. This isn’t the same thing as our great GWRRA education seminars, but instead, a 30-minute, in-depth look at a subject of interest to most Gold Wing and Valkyrie owners who cruise the region and sometimes saddle up for a long ride. In February, we examined how the overall Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) system works. At the 20 April gathering, we’ll look at how to actually use a GPS, either a self-mounted unit or one installed at the factory.
